Located on border of the National Park and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) property, Prisoners Harbor provides a variety of activities for hikers, bird watchers, groups of friends and family. You can relax in the shade of a eucalyptus grove, enjoy a picnic lunch and snorkel the calm waters protected in this scenic harbor.
Island Packers offers a naturalist led 4.6 mile round trip hike on the TNC property along the Pelican Bay Trail. This rugged trail winds through ironwood, oak and pine forests and offers great views of the north shore of Santa Cruz Island.
There are vault style restrooms, tree shaded picnic tables around the cobblestone beach, but no potable/ drinking water is available at Prisoners Harbor.
Visitors that participate on this guided hike must complete and sign a TNC release form which Island Packers will provide. You may also download the Release Form here. Hikers may also explore the park property on their own.
